We defend clients throughout the entire criminal procedure: from the first seizure or first interview at the police station, through the chambre du conseil (council chamber) and the criminal court, to the Court of Appeal and the Court of Cassation.

Victims are guided so that they can themselves help steer the criminal investigation and can establish and recover their damages.

We also have particular expertise to advise clients which are prosecuted in financial and economic/environmental offences on their legal position. Money laundering, tax fraud, misuse of corporate assets, bankruptcy offences, environmental offences and social fraud or workplace bullying, etc., are technical matters requiring a defense lawyer who masters both criminal law and socio-economic reality.

As of 2026, Belgium also has a new Criminal Code, and shortly before that, for example, the criminal limitation periods were drastically changed. These laws contain a number of innovations you may not be aware of, which can prove decisive in your case.
